The Winter Park Classics, formerly the Epic Mountain Bike Series, is a reinvented mountain bike series in Winter Park, Colorado, featuring three races that highlight our most popular routes from the Epic Singletrack Series and classic courses from the early days of the Winter Park Mountain Bike Series. Catering to everyone from junior riders to professional racers, the Winter Park Classics offers a welcoming, fun race series for all skill levels. Hosted by the Winter Park Comp Center, which also organizes the Trestle Gravity Series and King of the Grommets Gravity Race Event, these events are among the finest anywhere. Winter Park Classics Mnt Bike Race: Sat July 25 - All Day

Race Rendezvous features a scenic, challenging XC course starting at Cozen’s Ranch Museum in Fraser and winding through the Idlewild trail system. It includes flowing singletrack, big climbs, and fast descents that showcase Winter Park’s classic terrain.

Trestle Gravity Series - Air Downhill 1 - July 31, 2026

Air Downhill (Air DH) is a fast-paced, flow-based downhill course that incorporates big jumps, fast berms, and pedaling to maintain speed.

Trestle Gravity Series - Downhill 1 - Aug 1, 2026

Downhill (DH) races, the course is designed for riders whose love for speed brings them blazing down the roughest single-track descents through rock gardens, massive drops, and gnarly root sections.

Battle of the Grommets - August 2, 2026

Battle of the Grommets Junior Gravity Races are a great introduction to downhill / gravity mountain bike racing for those age 15 and under! Modeled after the long-standing winter Battle of the Grommets™ Slopestyle competitions for skiers and snowboarders, Winter Park Resort is proud to offer a summer version of this popular grass-roots competition for young riders! Winter Park Classics XC Series - Tipperary Classics - Aug 22, 206

The Tipperary Classic (formerly King of the Rockies) has been an iconic mountain bike race in Winter Park for over 25 years. The course begins in Fraser, follows miles of amazing, scenic singletrack trails, and finishes at the Winter Park Resort base area. Riders who complete this challenging race gain bragging rights.

Trestle Gravity Series - Super Downhill - Sept 4, 2026

Super Downhill (Super-D) is the perfect mix of downhill and cross-country racing packaged together into one fun 6-12 minute run with a mix of downhill and flat or minor uphill sections. This event will take place in the late afternoon/evening.

Battle of the Grommets 2 - Sept 7, 2026

Modeled after the long-standing winter Battle of the Grommets™ Slopestyle competitions for skiers and snowboarders, we’re proud to offer a summer version of this popular, grass-roots competition for groms ages 15 and under! This is a great way for younger downhill athletes to experience gravity racing on technical terrain. All levels are welcome. Registration closes at noon the day before the event.
